Instructions for use:
Burn off the fuzzies from rope using a gas flame.
Run the rope through a cloth to remove the soot left behind. 
Apply as much butter as you like to a clean cloth (a pea size is typical), rub it into the cloth a little and run the rope through the cloth, coating the ropes in butter. 
If you find the butter is caked onto parts of your rope, you can set your oven to the lowest possible temperature, place your ropes on a tray and bake them until the butter melts into the ropes (approximately 5 to 15 min)
